Festival of New Dance 2026 – Sister Nightlight

George Stamos’ transdisciplinary solo show, Sister Nightlight, is a seriously playful conversation between minimalism and magic. In a spellbinding performance, Stamos entwines storytelling, childhood memories of running wild in nature and freaky nightclubbing, with supernatural humour and vulnerability. Sister Nightlight dives us into a mesmerizing space between memory, feral imagination, and actuality. A grounded soliloquy teetering on the tip of a crack, edging toward luminosity. This radiant solo is inspired by the questions: How can queer ideas about magic and kinship nourish connections with the audience? How can story and movement open imaginative portals of delight and intimacy?

After the performance, join us for a Silent Disco Dance Commute to the Majestic Theatre for An Evening of Odditease.
